No Need to Take Everything so Seriously

How many times have you been out with your family and you are getting these great photos of your kids but, sheesh, this heavy duty expensive DSLR camera is a ton to lug around everywhere. Well for me this has never happened since I don’t have children, but I can totally relate since I have a cat. Hehe, but don’t worry I’m not one of those crazy cat ladies.

Since Kevin does all the picture taking I use this amazing device called the iPhone! I am particularly obsessed with the Hipstamatic app.

I enjoy this app so much I made a blog dedicated just to Hipstamatic images. http://hipbop.blogspot.com/ Don’t mind my shameless plug on Kevin’s blog.

Aside from the iPhone there are a ton of awesome little cameras that make really cool and interesting photos. Such as the holga camera, fisheye cameras, a spinner camera that makes awesome 360 degree images, and the Instax Instant Camera that pops out little mini Polaroids. Check it out…

If any of you have a teen age child or just an amazing sense of style, I’m sure you have been to Urban Outfitters. They have all these camera and more! I have also seen these cameras at photography stores. I got the Instax one at our local photo store, Pro Photo Supply – on a side note, Rob that works there is AWESOME!!!!

I really enjoy these cameras for fun little outings when you want to capture the moment but are dreading carrying around your heavy DSLR camera. Not only that but they make for awesome prints to hang up around your house.

Enjoy and don’t be afraid to join the hipster movement!!

Essie here, signing out!
