Who was/is your biggest inspiration and why? My kids. No not in the cheesy way, but more like I look in there eyes, and realize I’m THEIR WORLD. I want to be a good Dad.
I’m also a big fan of Weegee. There’s nothing like those gritty shots of NYC back in the days of mobsters.
How long have you been shooting ? 24 years
Your favorite color? pink
What piece of gear would they have to pry from your cold dead hands? my 50 1.2
If you could do anything else what would it be? I think it would be fun to collect scrap metal. I mean it’s a lot like being a photographer. You make your own hours, you are your own boss!
How would you explain your style? Bold, cinematic, avant-garde, and well let’s face it, —> AWESOME!
What advice would you give someone starting out today? Take lots of business classes. Write a plan, figure out the numbers. Don’t do it for love, that’s a hobby.
What do you mainly shoot? Weddings, and I love shooting my collection of miniature gnomes in different places across the globe. I don’t share those images though.
What’s your favorite thing to do when you aren’t shooting? (I’m guessing since Jason left it blank that it’s spending time with his kids)
What did you have for breakfast? Cocoa crispies
Favorite drink or cocktail? Scotch
Most inspiring image you have ever seen? Inspiring? Hmm, that’s a tough question. My favorite photograph is one Weegee took of a fire in NYC. “Simply add boiling water”. I admired his dark humor in many of his photographs.

Coolest place you have ever traveled to for work? I photographed a wedding in northern Italy about 8 years ago, and loved it. I’m hoping to get back there someday soon.
